Certified Hand Therapists

Therapeutic exercises and activities at Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center are provided by Certified Hand Therapists, who have special training and experience in managing upper extremity disorders.

Our therapists have all successfully passed a national board examination, which requires a minimum of five years of experience in hand therapy. Recertification requirements are met through continuing education.

Our occupational therapists work closely with the hand surgeons on staff. Successful outcomes require careful and precise coordination of both the surgical and therapeutic services.

Referrals

The therapy department of the Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center accepts referrals from other physicians and health care providers. Rehabilitation nurses and adjusters can make recommendations as well, however, the patient must be under the care of a physician and a prescription for therapy is necessary.
