Gail has been at the Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center for over 20 years. As Director of Operations, she is responsible for all facilities and staff. Gail's primary responsibility is to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of patient care. Jane F, PA-C

Jane F, PA-C

As a physician's assistant, Jane assists the doctors with treatments during office visits and has her own schedule of follow up visits. She assists in coordinating patients' treatments. She acts as a liaison between the patients, physicians and hand therapists. Jane is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she received her bachelors in biology. She received her PA National Certification through Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland. She has previously worked in Baltimore, Maryland in occupational medicine for over four years.


Michael Lanzisera, PA-C

Michael Lanzisera, PA-C

Michael Lanzisera, PA-C joined the Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey in 2019.

Michael received a B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts, attended Northeastern University to obtain a Masters degree in physician assistant studies. He worked previously with orthopedic surgeons at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Cooper University Hospital and private orthopedic practice specializing in hand, sports medicine and total joint replacement.

He has been nationally certified as a physician assistant since 2006.

Cynthia P
Workers Comp. Case Manager

Cynthia Pitzi is the Case Manager for Workers Compensation claims. She is the liaison between the physician, rehabilitation nurse, insurance adjuster, and employer. She coordinates the medical treatment within our office for therapy and diagnostic testing, and schedules ergonomic evaluations.

Understanding that a patient's well-being is crucial for the resumption of their assigned duties, Cynthia is in constant communication with our doctors, our therapists, the patient, and the employer to review and update the patient's status. To facilitate a timely resumption of either light duty or full duty, site visits or work modification may be recommended.



Karen Wheeler, R.N.

Karen Wheeler, R.N.

Karen Wheeler joined Hand Surgery & Rehabilitation in May 2013. She graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Burlington County College in December 2012.

She graduated with an Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rowan University May 2022.



Carol Nicolino, R.N.

Carol Nicolino, R.N.
Surgical Assistant

Carol Nicolino attended the Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Camden, New Jersey. Prior to joining Hand Surgery in 1997 she worked at both Virtua Marlton and Voorhees. She is a member of American Organization of Registered Nurses (AORN) and is ACLS and BLS certified


Meg Fairbairn, R.N.

Meg Fairbairn, R.N.

Meg Fairbairn joined the practice in October 2016. Her prior experiences include working on a medical-surgical unit and in a Podiatry office both in upstate NY. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from SUNY Delhi Tech. in 1996.
